Do you want hands on dyno tuning experience?
Following from the success of our EFI Tuning Stage 1 course, STM are pleased to announce the introduction of our EFI Tuning Stage 2 course. This course takes the theory from our EFI Tuning Stage 1 course and puts it to work in the real world. You will learn how apply this theory to tune a real performance car on a real dyno with our expert instructors there to guide you through each step of the way.
Our EFI Tuning Stage 2 course is a dyno based course designed to allow students to put theory into practice. You will learn how to operate a dyno to control the engine and how to use a laptop to tune an engine from scratch. Due to the hands-on nature of this course, student numbers are strictly limited to ensure you have plenty of one-on-one time tuning.
Tuning an engine on a dyno can seem a daunting task to a novice tuner so our course is broken down into individual stages to simplify learning. Once each stage has been mastered they can be added together, allowing you to quickly build up the required tuning skills in a safe low pressure environment.
In particular we will concentrate on the following areas:
-
Using specialised tuning equipment
-
Configuring your ECU prior to tuning
-
Dyno operation and safety
-
Using the dyno to control engine load and rpm
-
Tuning the engine on the dyno
-
Optimising the tune
